Open Source Project for Creating Personal Base Stations

Landlink is a project that uses LoRa technology to send messages with low power. Currently, due to chip design limitations, only text messages up to 200 bytes can be sent. It can be particularly useful in disaster situations or areas with limited communication, as it allows for independent communication without the need for the internet or other infrastructure.

This project is also compatible with meshtastic. You can receive and send messages from meshtastic, and it can be used immediately by enabling meshtastic compatibility in the landlink settings. Although not well-known in Korea, it is already widely used in Europe and the United States, with repeaters installed for practical communication. By forming a mesh network, messages can be transmitted over long distances by passing through multiple devices.

Currently, the project can only send text messages. In the future, by using HaLow, it aims to support communication over 1km in line of sight between at least two nodes, and if configured as a mesh network, it can provide high bandwidth capable of receiving video streams from distant locations.
